Dra. Irawati Sandjaja
Dra. Irawati Sandjaja, the President Director of PIRAX Group. She is an Australian Education Specialist, which accredited by Australian Education Center, in Indonesia.
Graduated in Petra Christian University, Surabaya, majored in English Language and Literature, she started her career in education industry as an English teacher for a local English course institute in 1976.
In 1978, Irawati and her management team established Pirax Education Foundation and Pirax kindergarten, a local kindergarten school that listed and acknowledge under Indonesian Ministry of Education. She held the principal role of the school. Eight years later, Pirax English Institute formed under her lead in 1986. She was also one of the founders of Pirax Overseas Education Consultant, which established later on, in early 1992.
Throughout the time, Irawati also taught in many institutions, both formal and informal, ranged from junior high school to university.
Irawati was also the chief of "KANITRA" an alumni organization of Petra Christian University that has more than 12,000 members. This organization is under the protection of Petra Christian University, an Organization that work under the Petra Christian Education Foundation in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
Currently, Irawati also appointed as the advisor for Gloria Christian High School in Surabaya, under the Gloria Christian Education Foundation, her roles are mainly specializing in English Language Department.
She is also setting up Momentum Institute, collaborating with Dr. Alvin Swee Beng Oh from Singapore, as well as Cambridge International Examination (CIE), originated in United Kingdom, for teaching professional development and other educational programs in Surabaya especially, and throughout Indonesia.
Irawati's 28 years of experiences in education industry have set up her broad-wide network, both locally as well as internationally. Her dedication towards education industry, supported by her compassion in consulting students, enables her to help students in determining their brighter future, through both formal and informal education.
Today, Irawati's main target is to develop PIRAX as the centre for many sorts of education services, both formal and informal; also as career placement centre for young and matured students and professionals.
Her vision is to direct PIRAX to be the market leader in education industry that have international networks and acknowledgement in Indonesia, specializing in student consultations, quality teachers training, international educational organization's marketing and promotions, and overseas working experience and training program placement.
